a thought about Candyman (2021)
I watched Candyman (2021) last week and I enjoyed it. I also managed to buy the ticket with a relatively cheap price, yeah! Still, it's important to note that the titled character, the revengeful ghost Candyman isn't a tragic hero, nor a champion for social justice, he just isn't! Surely he is a very charming monster with a tragic past, but I'm startled to see a few people seem to think what Candyman had done is somewhat justified, I mean, killing people (including but not limited to school kids) cannot be justified. The movie has its own share of flaws (especially the script and the third act ) and some people don't seem to like it, but I promise myself I'll draw some Candyman cookies for this Halloween.
